Raw garlic? Not so great. Roasted garlic? Delicious.

If you’re a big fan of roasted garlic like us, you may be wondering if you can make it in the microwave.

We have some good news: The answer is YES. You can microwave garlic.

Follow the instructions below to get the most out of your garlic, and make sure it comes out as yummy as can be.

Roasted Microwave Garlic Recipe

Slice the garlic into small chunks before you begin. (If you don’t cut your garlic up, it won’t cook evenly.)

From here, keep in mind that garlic doesn’t have much natural moisture. The microwave needs moisture to cook things.

So, add one to two tablespoons of water to a microwave-safe plate, along with your garlic.

After that, add a drizzle of olive oil for flavor.

You may also choose to add spices to your garlic. At a minimum, add a dash of salt.

Once everything is ready, place the garlic inside of the microwave.

Microwave for one minute, then check to see how cooked the garlic is.

If you have a modern microwave, the garlic should be ready to eat.

If you have an older microwave, you may need to add another 30 seconds or so.

Of course, if you microwave more than one clove of garlic, increase the timer on the microwave as necessary.

Microwaved Foods With Garlic (Like Garlic Bread)

Can you microwave something like garlic bread? The answer, once again, is yes.

If you are microwaving food with garlic on it, follow microwave instructions for that food in particular.

For example, if you are going to microwave garlic bread, look up how to microwave bread.

The garlic itself will have minimal effects on the food it has been added to.

And that’s it! Follow our recipe for delicious microwaved roasted garlic.
